NestHome — Logbook Ecosystem
NestHome is a cloud-based household logbook ecosystem operated by Nest Group Australia Pty Ltd ("Nest Group", "we", "us", or "our") that enables users to record, store, and manage property-related information including documents, maintenance records, condition reports, project histories, and personal property data. NestHome forms part of the NESTres platform, which also includes NestBuild, NestCheck, and NestSpace.
NestHome is designed to assist households in maintaining records of their property. It does not provide, and is not a substitute for, professional legal, building, engineering, financial, or real estate advice. Nothing in this platform, including AI-generated responses, constitutes legal, financial, building compliance, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for your own compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
To use NestHome, you must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
Each email address may be associated with only one NestHome account. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent property limits, subscription restrictions, or any other platform policies.
Each physical property address may be registered only once within the NestHome system. The normalised property address serves as the canonical identity key for that property across the NESTres ecosystem. This uniqueness constraint is enforced to maintain data integrity and to ensure that property records are accurate and attributable.
If a property address is already registered by another user, you may request shared access to that property record through the platform's invitation system. You must not attempt to register a duplicate property address by modifying the address format.
NestHome offers subscription plans including a free Explore tier and paid Live and Manage tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at the time of purchase. All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable.
A 30-day free trial is available for new paid subscribers. At the end of the trial period, your nominated payment method will be charged at the applicable subscription rate unless you cancel before the trial ends. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are provided for unused periods, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
You agree that you will not use NestHome to:
You retain full ownership of all documents, photographs, and other content you upload to NestHome ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant Nest Group Australia a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the NestHome service to you.
We do not claim ownership of your User Content, and we will not use it for any purpose beyond operating the platform. We will not sell, share, or disclose your User Content to third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law.
The NestHome platform, including its software, design, trademarks, logos, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by Nest Group Australia Pty Ltd and is protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws. NestHome is a tool for recording and storing evidence of property maintenance, projects, and compliance activities. NestHome does not prove, certify, or guarantee compliance with any building code, safety standard, tenancy law, or other regulatory requirement. The user is solely accountable for their own compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Records stored in NestHome are provided as evidence of activities undertaken; they do not constitute a professional certification or inspection report.
Where NestHome connects users to NestBuild for licensed contractor work, NestCheck for property inspections, or other professional services, those services are provided by independent third parties. Nest Group Australia is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or compliance of work performed by third-party service providers.
To the maximum extent permitted by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and Australian Consumer Law, Nest Group Australia excludes all liability for any loss or damage (including indirect, consequential, special, or incidental loss) arising from your use of, or inability to use, NestHome, including but not limited to:
Where liability cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited, at our option, to: (a) resupplying the service; or (b) paying the cost of having the service resupplied. Our total aggregate liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in that period.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Nest Group Australia Pty Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of NestHome; (b) your User Content; (c) your breach of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
You own your data. You may request an export of all your personal data and User Content at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We will provide your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format within 30 days of your request.
Property lifecycle data (maintenance records, condition reports, project histories) is associated with the property address. Upon sale or transfer of a property, the outgoing owner may choose to transfer the property's logbook to the incoming owner through the platform's transfer process. Personal documents (wills, insurance policies, personal contracts) remain with the original account holder and are not transferred with the property.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon account closure, your data will be retained for 30 days to allow you to retrieve it, after which it will be permanently deleted, subject to any legal retention obligations.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or used the platform in a manner that harms other users or Nest Group Australia. Where we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any prepaid subscription fees on a pro-rata basis.
In the event of a dispute arising from these Terms or your use of NestHome, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] to attempt to resolve the matter informally. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to mediation administered by the Queensland Law Society or a mutually agreed mediator before commencing legal proceedings.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland for the resolution of any dispute that cannot be resolved through mediation.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a prominent notice within the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of NestHome after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the platform and may close your account.
